Its amazing what a can of paint, some imagination, and some old fashion reflection can do for the soul. Something amazing happens when you take the time to slow down and listen to your Inner Guide or Spirit.
I followed spirit to this exact moment in my life. Yes, sitting here writing my first blog in total trust in Spirit. Now that I have arrived, fear has decided to come take a visit. Fear of exposing my true self for the world to see. I know in doing so it exposes my light, my love, my purpose. Fear of being judged and knowing that I WILL be judged has me frozen in spite of the faith it took for me to get here.
All I can say is, Thank you God for a can of paint, the Gabrielle Bernstein audiobook "Spirit Junkie" and some good bluegrass country tunes bouncing off my transforming bathroom walls to help me find peace.
It's so easy to live in fear because that is what is comfortable for the Ego. In trying to find my own way out of this fear, mostly through procrastination and avoidance, I only created more fear. It was during my final coat of paint I finally decided to surrender to my Higher Power, to ask and allow Spirit to take the lead. I replaced my fear with faith that I am being guided for my highest good and for the highest good of all.
It is in these moments when we can really hear Spirit guiding us. I encourage you to slow down and listen for Spirit. Whether you end up painting your bathroom walls or sitting down to journal, or rocking the guitar. How ever your Spirit calls you to dance, I encourage your to let your fear go and kick up your heels high!
